Julian Assange to run for Senate


Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, is to run for a seat in Australia's Senate. He is still under house arrest in Britain while appealing extradition to Sweden for accusations of sexual assault and rape. Assange was born and raised in Australia and discovered that he could run for the Senate spot while still being detained in England. For more information about WikiLeaks go to wikileaks.org.

According to swedenversusassange.com, he has been held under house arrest without bail and without charge for 469 days.
